The slot canyons of Arizona are magical. These deep, narrow, convoluted, sculpted slits in ancient sandstone reflect and glow, no matter what kind of light finds its way into their depth.

On a photography seminar in 2010 we spent half a day in Lower Antelope Canyon. It was a cloudy day -- rats! Prepared to be disappointed, the light and color we ended up finding was breath taking!

A few of the shots are from Canyon X on a sunny day the year before. A funneled beam of light and a slide of sand made a lovely cascade.

These are my best shots so far. I can't wait to revisit Arizona to try some more -- I've learned a lot from working with this set.

They are sized to support large prints, if you are interested.
